Plumbline is a spirit level and inclinometer app for Android, made by Ever After Games, part of the Ever After Group (UK). This page explains what the app does and does not do with data. The short version: your readings never leave your phone.
Your settings, calibration and saved readings (with any notes you add) are kept in the app's local storage on your device only. The app has no accounts, no sign-in and no analytics. Deleting the app's data in Android settings, or uninstalling the app, permanently removes everything.
Plumbline reads your device's tilt sensor (accelerometer) to measure angles. Those readings are processed on the device and go nowhere else.
The camera-level mode asks for camera permission to show a live preview with a horizon line over it. The preview is exactly that: live. Nothing is photographed, recorded, stored or transmitted, ever. If you refuse the permission, the mode still measures the angle without a preview.
The Google Play version of Plumbline shows a small banner advert (never a full-screen one, and never during onboarding or calibration), served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure adverts, Google may collect device information including the device's advertising ID. In the UK/EEA the app asks for your consent first, through Google's consent form, and you can change your choice at any time from "Ad privacy options" in the app's MENU. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings. How Google uses this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Buying the one-time Remove ads purchase switches advertising off entirely; after that the app makes no advertising requests at all. The purchase itself is processed by Google Play; we never see your payment details.
The Amazon Appstore version of Plumbline carries no advertising.
Plumbline is a general-audience tool. It is not directed at children and contains no content unsuitable for anyone.
Because Plumbline keeps no personal data about you on our systems, there is nothing for us to look up, correct or delete on our side: your data is on your device and under your control. UK GDPR rights requests relating to advertising data collected by Google are best made through the Google links above, but if you contact us we will help.
